What if we stopped measuring a hunting season by the inches of antler and started measuring it by the memories we made?
Borrowed Time is an emotional hunting documentary about what hunting is really supposed to be about: family, tradition, time in the woods, and the people we share it with.
This film takes a look back at the way hunting used to be. The long days in the woods. The stories around the camp. The traditions passed from one generation to the next. The moments that, at the time, seemed ordinary but eventually become some of the most important memories of our lives.
Jason Say takes us into the woods with his dad, Carl, as they share another hunting season together. After everything they have been through, Carl finally gets the opportunity to take the biggest Pennsylvania whitetail buck of his life.
And the story doesn't end there.
Jason eventually finds himself face-to-face with one of the biggest and most meaningful Pennsylvania bucks he has ever taken.
But Borrowed Time isn't really about the size of the bucks.
It's about realizing that our time together is limited.
It's about sitting beside the people we love in a Pennsylvania deer stand and appreciating that, someday, those days will only exist in our memories.
The deer will always be there. Another hunting season will always come.
But we don't get unlimited time with the people who made us love the outdoors in the first place.
Don't take the time you have with the people you love for granted.
Go hunting. Sit in the woods. Tell the stories. Make the memories.
Because none of us knows exactly how much time we have.
BORROWED TIME.
