S3.E14. Phillip Culpepper and Drake Lamb keep the heat on them during the last day of the Georgia youth season. It's an epic, gobble-crazed morning. Youth hunter Jonathan Fox gets an opportunity on a heavyweight strutter just minutes after daylight. Does he capitalize? We extend a huge thanks to 30-30 Ministries and Georgia Outdoor News for hosting this youth hunt.
1:00: The sun starts to rise, and the birds rise with it. They start gobbling on the roost, and quite frankly, they don't stop. Longbeards fly down and proceed to act like big, bully toms.
3:45: A hot longbeard gobbles at every yelp, cluck and purr. That bad part? He's across a body of water, and that's usually a barrier for birds unless they're super interested. This tom is, though, and it finds a way to cross.
5:30: Out of nowhere, another strutter crosses over and the gobbling duo walks straight into the H.S. decoy nicknamed "Bocephus." Fox lines up the bead as the pair of gobblers bullishly walk into range. They strut, prance and gobble around the decoy until the youth hunter decides to do something about it.
