S3.E26. Phillip Culpepper and Drake Lamb go turkey hunting on public land. Culpepper draws a coveted tag that took three years to obtain. Fortunately, the turkeys cooperate. It doesn't go without challenges, though. Wet weather puts a damper on things, but they hang in there and put themselves in the right spot. Eventually, a lunch-time tom fires up.
25: They've been on the road and decide to spend a day getting caught up on rest and video editing.
05: It was a rainy night, and the ground is extremely wet. It breaks daylight, and they don't hear much. Eventually, a bird sounds off several hundred yards away. They use onX to help determine where it's located: https://www.onxmaps.com/
25: They make a move on the bird they heard and walk deep into the tract of public land. Once set up, it begins raining and he tries to light them up with different calls. Eventually, the Bone Collector box call strikes a hot gobbler: https://shop.bonecollector.com/death-valley/
40: The bird quits talking. It's henned-up and not cooperating. So, Culpepper and Lamb move closer to where they last heard the longbeard.
00: It finally sounds off again, and they eventually see him along with a bunch of hens. The flock works toward the two guys and Culpepper gets ready.
46: Lady Luck shines down. The strutter leaves its hens and approaches their setup.
