Season 1, Episode 8

S28.E1. Daniel McVay is one of the most serious deer hunters you'll find. When it comes to big deer, the man is all business. This stuff is real, and he ain't here to play. The dude is a gamer.
After settling into the blind, McVay preps for the hunt, and gets ready for a deer he hopes to see. A huge target buck walks toward the blind, and McVay readies his CVA.
He unleashes all of the wrath his CVA can muster, and tags the great Oklahoma buck with his muzzleloader. It's a really good deer, and McVay is super pumped about tagging it. It's the perfect buck -- a good one with just a touch of character.
They recover the deer, and it's a giant one. The best part? McVay actually smiles a little. Not a big one mind, you. No need to get carried away. But we see a little upturn in the corner of his mouth, and that makes us happy. (We weren't sure if he knew how to do that, or not. But the myth is busted. McVay does in fact smile. Case closed. Onward.)
