Major Changes On A Hunting Property, Can You Do Too Much?

On this week's episode of Midwest Whitetail we kick things off with Zach Rozmus who takes a trip down memory lane on one of his favorite permission farms in recent memory. Even though he mainly hunts Area 52 and the Goat Hills in present day, Zach got his start on permission like many of us bowhunters and through that experience as well as his career has established an understanding on how change can have a huge impact on wildlife. With this year's big project on Area 52 being the pond transformation, Zach updates us on the successes and problems he is facing with the pond as the project comes to fruition. The @monsterbuck Multi Year Blend is blossoming well and only time will tell if the giant buck Pretzel shows up once again this season. With that change on Area 52, Zach highlights his strategy for using a low impact method of changing your farm in the first two years of ownership and how that strategy can pay off huge dividends in the long run. Much like Zach a few years ago, Nolan Redeker is undertaking the same type of low impact strategy moving into the first year on his new farm. Choosing to only widen a few food plots in order to help the farm hold deer throughout the upcoming season despite having huge list or changes to make that include TSI and adding grain to the farm, Nolan and Zach discussed how waiting can help Nolan understand what changes he should make for wildlife after hunting the farm for a season and how using the strategy of waiting may lower the impact on the farm as a whole. As always we appreciate you taking the time to watch the video and don't forget to leave us a comment with any questions you may have below!
