On this week’s episode, we join Owen Reigler in Southern Iowa as he returns to the woods after soaking in the successful hunt for the “Lochness Monster” back in early October. Returning to the famed Crabs Plot where he has seen repeated success over the years, Owen targets three mature 8-point bucks and breaks out a buck decoy to hopefully entice one into bow range. After two action-packed hunts full of rare buck behavior, and multiple encounters with shooters, Owen returns to the same location for the third day in a row. He's hoping to get an opportunity at one of the three 8-points.
Then, we catch up with Kaleb Greiner in Eastern Iowa who has a heartbreaking update in the chase for the Iowa monarch known as “Lucky.” After finding that the giant has also fallen to the outbreak of EHD in his area, Kaleb reflects on lessons learned throughout the chase.
