S3.E17. It's playoff time in Mississippi. Ben McDonald is on a quest to experience his first “classic" turkey hunt. He wants to call one down the gun barrel while turkey hunting with his buddy Phillip Culpepper. That's exactly what they try to do. McDonald can barely hold it together when a big, fat gobbler rushes in to five steps. They almost get run over by this long-bearded Mississippi tom.
0:30: They listen for the bird the Spring Thunder crew roosted the evening before. Eventually, they hear it sound off in the distance, and make tracks to get in position.
2:40: After a few, they reach the destination Culpepper wants to get to. They set up in a clearing and begin working the bird. It gobbles its head off as it slowly works toward them.
3:30: Finally, the bird peaks its head over the rise and gobbles continuously in an epic display.
5:10: The lone longbeard finally has enough. He can't stand it anymore and runs into the decoy. It struts right up to the H.S. decoy nicknamed "Bocephus" and proceeds to teach it a lesson. But McDonald has something to say (and do) about that.
