The Early Season Tennessee Velvet Hunt | Realtree Road Trips
Realtree Road Trips • 8m 58s
S1.E6. Blair and Bart Goins continue their annual tradition of hunting velvet whitetails in Tennessee. Despite battling hurricane weather, the Goins family heads afield anyway. Blair spends time in the blind with his dad Reggie. They have multiple encounters with a big 7-pointer.
1:00 The Goins are headed to the Volunteer State, and hope to fill some early season tags.
3:15 Blair and his father make it to the blind, and they hope to connect on a good one.
4:00 Deer begin piling into the food plot, and they slowly work toward the blind. Dark arrives before the big bucks do, though.
5:30 The next afternoon, they climb back into the blind. The rain stops before dark, and whitetails start exiting cover to feed in the plot. A big one steps out, but doesn't come close enough.
7:00 The hunt ends without a filled tag, but the season is young. It's a long time until closing day.
