Controlled Burns, Big Shed Antlers, Next Season's Targets | Midwest Whitetail
Most Recent • 21m
Welcome back to another episode of Midwest Whitetail. On this week's show, we dive into the topic of prescribed fire, otherwise known as a controlled burn.
First, we jump to northern Missouri with Tyler Behlmann and Justin Luebrecht, who introduce some of the awesome sheds they found this spring and how using prescribed fire in their timber is going to help them this fall.
Then, we cruise northward to Iowa with Mike Reed back on the legendary River Farm, where the guys tackle a different form of habitat with fire. Reed gives some of his best tips on burning and what he looks for. By the end, he scoops up a big surprise that skyrockets excitement for next season. Giant sheds, historical encounters, stand strategies, and lots of fire, this episode has it all.
