S5.E34. With so much recent action, we decided to release a mid-week episode. On this one, we are back with Mike Reed to kick things off. After already having the best late season he's ever had, he heads to his small Southern Iowa farm with hopes of continuing the streak. Harsh weather conditions and recent Cuddelink photos convince him to make the two-hour drive, and it pays off in a big way.
Then, we join 41 North media intern Cody Huhn, for a hunt he will remember forever. After grinding it out on public land all year, Huhn finally gets his chance during the Iowa late season and tags his best buck to date.
1:30 Reed and company drive 2 1/2 hours south to a farm he owns in southern Iowa. They're hoping to see one of two target bucks.
3:30 It's snow heavily, and deer are pouring into the cornfield.
5:00 The big 6x6 with extra points steps into view, and Reed (rightfully) gets excited.
9:30 They take up the blood trail, and recover the massive whitetail.
12:30 Huhn heads to a good spot he located on public land. Game on.
14:30 Right at dark, a good one walks into view. He gets it, and they recover the giant public-land deer.
