Slade Priest's Massive Louisiana Whitetail | Realtree's Monster Buck
Monster Bucks XXVIII (2020)

S28.E19. Realtree Land Pro Slade Priest is hunting from the ground in Louisiana. It's the heart of the southern rut in his area, and he's hoping an estrus doe drags a buck into range.
That doesn't take long, and he gets the job done quickly. A huge-bodied buck chases a doe across the field, but he doesn't stop for a shot. Then, several minutes later, it runs back out into the open. Priest lets the hammer drop while the buck is running at point-blank range. The deer immediately falls mere steps away.
This just might just be the craziest hunt of the season. The recovery for this Pelican state deer is likely the shortest one of the year, too. It only takes 10 steps to do so. What a fast-paced deer hunt.
