S4.E22. When it comes to targeting big mature bucks, October cold fronts can be a deer hunter’s best friend. This was certainly the case for Mike Reed, who's plan came together on a 5 1/2-year-old he calls the “Turkey Foot 10.”
05 We briefly recap some of the moments that led up to Reed and Turkey Foot 10 crossing paths.
50 Back in a tree, Reed hopes to see one of his target bucks. The conditions are good for it, and he runs through some of them.
00 He's in the tree now, and starts watching for deer movement.
00 Turkey Foot steps out right under the tree in the mowed cornfield.
55 Reed climbs down, and starts blood-trailing the buck.
45 They recover the deer, and then recap the hunt.
00 The next day, Reed talks about the journey, and what it took to tag this great Iowa whitetail.
